One exam, five modules, and a pass rule that surprises most candidates: there is no overall average. Here is the whole paper — when it runs, what it asks, and what counts as a pass.

How a pass is decided
Every module is scored on its own, and each one must clear the threshold for your level. Nothing is averaged, so a strong reading score cannot rescue a weak listening score — one module below the line fails the whole exam.
- A2 — 60% in every module — 15 of 25 points in Listening
- B1 — 60% in every module — 15 of 25 points in Listening
- B2 — 60% in every module — 15 of 25 points in Listening
- C1 — 60% in every module — 15 of 25 points in Listening

Harno publishes the exam statistics every year. Here is what the tables show — and the one thing they do not.

B1 is 34.3% of all 10,540 sittings in 2024 — by far the most common level.
There were 8,088 sittings in 2023 and 10,540 in 2024.
What the numbers do not say
The percentage is Harno's own, and it counts people rather than preparation. The tables do not say who had practised, who was sitting for the second time, or which part anyone lost it on. They are not a prediction of your own chances.
